Review: 3 For Free

3 For Freeartwork

Gucci Mane stays prolific, recording music and actually releasing it (looking at you Young Thug). Many recent Gucci Mane fans may not know who Shawty Redd is and basically Shawty Redd is what Zaytoven is to Gucci Mane for Young Jeezy.

But don’t worry, there’s a top ten Gucci Mane and Shawty Redd list coming out next week.

Ever

I’m not sure where I stand with this track. It’s a track that I can listen and not skip it but I won’t be vibing to it. I’m not floating on Guwop flow or I finding any of the lyrics memorable.

The beat is okay I guess but that’s about it. I do kind of enjoy the chorus but strangely only after the first verse.

Wasn't Me

Unfortunately this song invokes the same reaction as the first track. I can’t say the song is bad but I can’t say it’s good either. I am more inclined to skip this track than the first song however.

Sir Brix A Lot

Do you ever force yourself to like a track? This is the case for me with this song. I think the title of this song is too cool to be a trash. I think with enough plays I will genuinely enjoy this song but presently I’m not at that stage.

Conclusion

I appreciate Gucci Mane for suddenly releasing this EP. I know some people will like this; sadly I’m not one of them.

There are some classic Gucci Mane and Shawty Redd tracks out there but if I had to make a judgment based off this EP alone, my verdict would be to let some things remain in the past.
